VONA Case Management, Inc. staff recently spent their time lending a hand at Prodisee Pantry in Spanish Fort, Alabama.
For over 15 years, Prodisee Pantry has filled the plates of their neighbors in need. They disburse food boxes every Tuesday morning to local families who are struggling to purchase food. Families who are having trouble making ends meet are given food assistance and additional information from a caring listener about other programs that may help to make their lives more stable.
VONA has a history of serving with this wonderful organization. “We are there to try and give back a little to our local community,” said VONA CEO Ryan Shirley. “They are such a great organization that helps so many people every week! We just hope that we can help out a little bit by assisting and uplifting some of the people in need.”
Anyone in the community can participate by loading boxes of non-perishable items every Tuesday from 8 a.m. to noon, or Wednesdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Fill out the contact form on the Prodisee Pantry website to set up a time for your family or group to volunteer.
