This past week, VONA Case Management, Inc. adopted a local family that needed assistance providing Christmas gifts to their foster children. This foster family will have 13 children opening gifts on Christmas morning! This foster family focuses on teenage girls because they are the ones that are left in the system the most and this foster family does not turn away siblings. To have a heart that big and arms that wide, we thought they deserved a break from worrying how they would provide gifts this Christmas! The VONA team spent one-day shopping for each child, one day wrapping all the gifts at our home office and the third day delivering the gifts to the parents.
“It was great to be able to break away from the hustle and bustle of the holidays and be able to give back to a family that deserves a little help. You can tell they wrap those kids up with a loving, safe home and we are just so happy that we could provide a little Christmas cheer for those kids,” said Ryan Shirley, CEO of VONA Case Management.
VONA completes a community service project each quarter. Our staff was very happy to help provide for this special foster family in our community! Not only do we have some top-notch professionals but we also have top-notch people!
